bigredchesticlesLittle disclaimer up here. These answers are based off what I know about Zero from game canon information, fanon, and my own image of him. If some things don't match up to how you see Zero as a character, then that is the reason why.
Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Zero's either right at or right under 6 feet even. Most official art puts him at a full head taller than X, who is only 5'2". At the very least, Zero is 5'10". His body is thin with average muscular build.
2. How old is he? This technically depends on which point in time one takes Zero from, but for this particular muse of mine he's almost lived 100 years already. He's probably in his 80s or 90s.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? Zero stands so tall and confident it's intimidating. I would guess it takes a while to get used to.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Zero's healthy as a horse as far as everyone else is concerned. Fit as a fiddle, in top condition since his activation date. He technically has a "condition", seeing as how he's the progenitor of the Maverick Virus. In this Zero's canon-point he's since learned to use his "Zero Virus" to his advantage and draw temporary strength from it. If he lets go too long he begins to degrade back into the berserker he was when Sigma first found him back in the Hunters' early days. I suppose you could also count slight insomnia as a condition, as he frequently has nightmares about his origins and unsavory things he's had to do in the past.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? He has all the grace a proper swordsman would, and is very much in control of each movement he makes.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? He's considered anywhere from handsome to absolutely gorgeous by most people. Zero knows he looks good, but doesn't make it too high of a priority. Mavericks to hunt, after all.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? His skintone is caucasian, no scarring whatsoever.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. His hair is a bright blonde that goes all the way to his heels, just an inch or two above the ground at its longest. It's straight and thick, and typcially styled in a low ponytail to help keep it out of the way.
9. What color are his eyes? Bright sapphire blue, the same color as the jewel on his helmet.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?His boobs. Other than his hair, Zero's armor stands out with its red and white color scheme. He's earned the nicknames Crimson Devil, Crimson Hunter, and Red Demon because of it.
11. What are his chief tension centers? I would guess his shoulders and the base of his neck.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Zero's civilian clothes are nothing to sniff at; he has outfits for casual days, at least one outfit for semi-formal outings, but he has no suit or tuxedo. He would usually go out in his armor for formal events, which would be freshly cleaned and polished. He'll wear all colors except for bright greens, yellows, oranges, and blues. He won't wear pink of any kind, either.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? They would have to, as the only time he's out of his armor is if he's actually off-duty.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? Good lord, no. I can only imagine how grody it must be in that armor getup after so long.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? He's commando, all the way XD The bodysuit under his armor plating is skintight, so wearing anything else under it would only make his hip area more cramped.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Zero's voice is mildly deep, definitely in the lower mid-range as far as pitch goes. He sounds hard most of the time, even when he's speaking amiably with someone.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? He's calm, but also speaks with much conviction. He means what he says and believes in what he does. He never hesitates in anything, not even in his speech (unless he's properly awed or something).
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Not really. Yay for being a super-advanced android that can speak fluently almost any language!
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? And then I answered this question, sorta, already XD. Zero is what is known as a reploid, though technically he is a full-on android just like Rockman X. Being a machine, and also being part of an international peace-keeping organization, Zero is very fluent with almost every language on Earth. He uses Japanese and English the most.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? He'll curse in German if he wants to use anything colorful. Other than that, he'll default to the language local to the area he's in.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? He can improvise a rousing speech for his fellow Hunters and mean it, even though he's pulling it right out of his ass. The general public? Nope. He doesn't make those kinds of speeches.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Zero doesn't fluff up his speech with flowery words. He's very straightforward most of the time, but when circumstances call for it he can be vague or even subtle. He has the grace to know when to choose his words carefully.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? Zero is very intelligent and supremely perceptive. Almost nothing gets past his gaze. He's not particularly "book-smart", but mainly because he's simply not interested in most sciences or mathematics. He seems the type to enjoy reading fiction and maybe classic literature.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? Zero wouldn't be alive today if he wasn't able to improvise on the spot in the field and to trust his instincts.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? He's realistic, borderline pessimistic, when it comes to ideals. He tries not to bog his mind down with too many uncertainties, so he's more on the practical side.
4. What kind of education has the character had? I would assume high-school graduate level education at the very least. Being an android, Zero can have all the basic subjects just uploaded into him so he can immediately process and use the information. Anything else he absorbs on his own is done at different levels.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? Swordplay and melee combat are his areas of expertise. He hasn't expressed interest in seriously learning another subject as of yet.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert. He's friendly, but not that social. He also doesn't reveal a lot about himself to most.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? He's always calm, cool, and collected in any situation. He will occasionally have bouts of silliness, but that usually means he's bored. Like I said, Zero's very intelligent, and if he doesn't have something to do he'll find creative ways to cure the boredom.
8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? He's normally polite to new people that aren't Hunter rookies. He's a strict teacher when it comes to training new Hunter recruits. In either situation he isn't particularly conversational unless he's genuinely interested in the person he's meeting.
9. Is he more likely to act, or to react? Act. He hates being only able to react to a situation, it makes him feel helpless. If he can help it, he won't react at all.
10. Which is his default: fight or flight? Fight. He's one of the greatest Maverick Hunters in history, like hell he's gonna run from anything on first impulse.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? Oh god he loves it all. The dirtier the better. He facepalms at any and all puns, they're just plain corny to him unless they're the cleverly subtle type that very few people use. Then, and only then, will you get a chuckle.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? Nope!
13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? His fight with Sigma when he was first discovered and thus transfering the Virus, and Iris' death are the two biggest moments in his life where he had the most change in himself. Another big one is when he discovered the origin of the Virus was none other than himself, and this influences all his future choices as a Hunter.
14. What does he fear? Going Maverick, and falling in love again. It's honestly the only irrational fear he has, that if anyone were to get too close to him, he'd lose them just like he lost Iris. Even if he wound up falling for X like so many speculate, he would never let himself act on it to start a relationship because of that fear.
15. What are his hopes or aspirations? His hope is to see X achieve the ideal dream of harmony between man and humanoid machine, the very dream Dr. Light had. He's a stout supporter of the ideal, mainly because it's something worth fighting for and he also wants a world where he can put his greatest fears to rest once and for all. Otherwise, he'll remove himself from the world.
16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? That he's the original carrier of the Virus, now dubbed the Zero Virus since he still has it in his body. It's an integral part of his systems and therefore extremely difficult to remove. Only he, X, Alia, and Signas know. He also doesn't want anyone to find out he is the last creation of the infamous Dr. Albert Wily. Only X knows.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents. Dr. Wily died before Zero was activated. The cause is unknown.
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? One could consider all DWN Robot Masters Zero's siblings, but they all disappeared for an unknown reason before he was activated. X is more like a brother to Zero than anyone else. Zero also treats Axl like a kid brother in a lot of ways.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? He has no living "blood relatives".
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? The Hunters on a whole are family to him, as they're largely all he's known for years. He's particularly close to X.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Again, that would be X. I would guess they met not long after he was reparied when Sigma first brought Zero back after their encounter.
6. Does he have other close friends? Axl and maybe even his navigator, Layer.
7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? He can make friends easily if he wants to. Becasue of his line of work and the lifestyle he leads, he doesn't go out of his way to make friends with others.
8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends? His family are his friends and his friends are his family.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? He's single, gonna stay that way as far as he's concerned.
10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Nope.
11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? His first known love was Iris, and he hasn't looked at anyone else since.
12. What does he look for in a romantic partner? Considering he really only had one person he truly loved, and there's no concrete evidence that he's a playboy of any kind, this is completely up in the air. I think Zero would like someone with a strong spirit, and a kind heart.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any? No, and no.
14. Does he have any rivals or enemies? Zero used to have Colonel as a rival; they were friends before the Repliforce War. His enemies are Sigma, Vile, and any other Maverick lackeys they infected along the way.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? Zero's most likely a 0 or 1 on the Kinsey scale, very heterosexual.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? In the words of this particular muse, "Sex is fun, I like it, but I don't need it."
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? He gets turned on when a woman shows off what she has, gets turned off by a woman playing herself up too much, and he doesn't have any weird bedroom habits that I know of.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type? Nope.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? Zero doesn't touch on or particularly believe in anything religous or spiritual. He's very much delved into the world he can see, hear, and touch. When something akin to a "miracle" does happen, he simply accepts whatever blessings it gives with thanks and continues on.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Zero may be ruthless as a Hunter, but the Maverick Hunters were formed to protect the innocent civilians from Maverick reploids and mechaniloids. As such, he will not harm humans under any circumstances, nor will he fight anyone who surrenders right off or is unarmed. He also hates anyone that would dare harm a child. Zero has a good sense of right and wrong, and thus far nothing has compromised the morals he lives by.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? If it's something he doesn't agree with, he's tolerant in that he'll let the person believe what they want as long as they respect his own beliefs. He's indifferent to anything else.

1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? I would say Zero's comfortable as far as his financial situation goes. He has everything he needs and doesn't want for anything.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? Zero doesn't have a social status so much as he has a public image. He's considered a great hero alongside X.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? Zero lives on base in Maverick Hunter Headquarters in his own quarters, which have the basic essentials. He rooms by himself.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? Probably books and music, maybe clothes when he needs to, and shampoo and conditioner for that hair of his.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? Zero is an S-Rank Maverick Hunter, and has been for many years. He enjoys the fights he has, but he enjoys the downtime just as much.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? This is unclear, as Zero isn't seen doing much outside of honing his skills or going out on missions.

Being an android, Zero doesn't necessarily need to eat or drink anything, as he can just use a recharge capsule or Energen. However, he does consume organic food and drink to help maintain his energy so he doesn't have to use the capsule as often. Regular sleep cycles also help.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Zero may be ruthless as a Hunter, but the Maverick Hunters were formed to protect the innocent civilians from Maverick reploids and mechaniloids. As such, he will not harm humans under any circumstances, nor will he fight anyone who surrenders right off or is unarmed. He also hates anyone that would dare harm a child. Zero has a good sense of right and wrong, and thus far nothing has compromised the morals he lives by.
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? If it's something he doesn't agree with, he's tolerant in that he'll let the person believe what they want as long as they respect his own beliefs. He's indifferent to anything else.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? I would say Zero's comfortable as far as his financial situation goes. He has everything he needs and doesn't want for anything.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? Zero doesn't have a social status so much as he has a public image. He's considered a great hero alongside X.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? Zero lives on base in Maverick Hunter Headquarters in his own quarters, which have the basic essentials. He rooms by himself.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? Probably books and music, maybe clothes when he needs to, and shampoo and conditioner for that hair of his.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? Zero is an S-Rank Maverick Hunter, and has been for many years. He enjoys the fights he has, but he enjoys the downtime just as much.
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? This is unclear, as Zero isn't seen doing much outside of honing his skills or going out on missions.
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? Being an android, Zero doesn't necessarily need to eat or drink anything, as he can just use a recharge capsule or Energen. However, he does consume organic food and drink to help maintain his energy so he doesn't have to use the capsule as often. Regular sleep cycles also help.
